In this Wine Tour to Cafayate we will be lucky enough to enjoy two of the many great things that our region has to offer: great wines and breathtaking landscapes.
In the morning we will travel towards Cafayate. The road will leave us breathless since the landscapes are amazing. We will visit rock formations such as “El Anfiteatro”, “Los Castillos”, “La Garganta del Diablo”, “La Yesera”…
Near noon, we will arrive to Cafayate, where our wine tour program will begin. We will visit some unique and very charming wineries!
High Altitude Vineyards
The Calchaquí Valley has exceptional weather conditions for the torrontés grape to grow. This is the emblematic grape of our region, that offers a very intense white wine in the nose, and a dry wine in mouth.
Also, the average altitude of the Valley, about 1.800 masl, gives the grapes a unique and characteristic touch, making wines with their own personality.
The combination of this characteristics, weather and altitude, make the ideal conditions for the production of wines such as Cabernet Suavignon, Malbec y Tanat.
We will have lunch in a high-altitude winery, where we can enjoy a great meal with Cafayate´s finest views and, obviously, enjoy its wines.
In the afternoon, we will visit a very exclusive Boutique Winery, where we can learn about the process of wine making and taste some of the best wines of our region.
After that, you will have time to discover and enjoy Cafayate! You may visit the square, have a coffee at Cafe Las Viñas, maybe visit a handicraft market, or go to another winery! It´s your choice!
In the morning we will visit the last of our selected wineries. We will also have time to enjoy a great regional meal before heading back to Salta.
On our way we will travel through one of the most picturesque places that our region has: the Quebrada de las Conchas.
This is famous for its formations of different colors and structures. We will visit impressive formations such as “The Amphitheater“, “The Castles”, “The Garganta del Diablo” and many others.
Once in Salta, our tour will be concluded.
Booking: to book the tour, we require a 50% deposit of the total amount of the tour. The remainder should be cancelled before starting the tour. This deposit is a non-refundable payment.
In case you have completed the payment, our cancellation policy is the following:
• 50% of your total amount will be charged if you do not notify us about your cancellation or any changes within 9 to 5 days before your scheduled arrival.
• 100% of your total amount will be charged if you do not notify us about your cancellation or any changes within 4 days your scheduled arrival or No show.
